Geoffrey Hinton, popularly known as the Godfather of AI, has received the Nobel Prize for Physics. Geoffrey Hinton and American professor John J. Hopfield have been given this award for their remarkable contribution on Artificial Neural Network. The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has announced the Nobel Prize for the contribution of both in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Geoffrey Hinton has thanked the Nobel Committee after receiving this award. He said, I was in a cheap hotel in California, which did not have internet connection and the network was also not coming properly on the phone. I was going to get an MRI scan today, but I think now it will have to be cancelled. He is 76 years old.

Started work in the 80s
In the 1970s and 80s, both scientists laid the foundation of modern AI systems, on the basis of which large language models like Gimeni and ChatGPT are working. Geoffrey Hinton's research on back propagation algorithm and the theory of data pattern proved to be very helpful in machine learning later.

Today's AI technology is working on the research done by Geoffrey Hinton years ago. Today the whole world is worried about AI. Hinton himself has warned people about its potential risks. Regarding AI, he says that while using it, we should keep in mind that it has many potential bad consequences. Due to this, many things can go out of human control.

Geoffrey Hinton also said that humans should now focus on how we can control AI. Extensive research is needed on this.
