Names, addresses, phone numbers and medical data of millions of Star Health customers stolen

India's largest health insurance company is on the target of hackers. Hackers have stolen the data of millions of Star Health customers. The stolen data also includes sensitive medical reports of the insurance company's customers. This data can be easily accessed through the chatbot of the messaging platform Telegram.
According to news agency Reuters, a user named xenZen has created a chatbot in Telegram. Through this chatbot, many documents of Star Health users such as policy details, claim information and medical reports are also included. According to the report, there are more than 1500 files in the chatbot, which include documents like name, phone number, address, tax details, copy of ID card, test result and medical examination of Star Health customers.
The hackers also said that if this bot is removed, another one will be made available within a few hours. Telegram removed these chatbots after the news flashed on Reuters. But, after some time other chatbots leaking the data of Star Health users came to the fore. Telegram issued a statement on this and said that sharing personal information on its platform is a violation of policy. If someone does this, it is removed. For this, the company is also taking the help of AI tools.
The insurance company said that initial investigation shows that not much data of its customers has been leaked. Along with this, sensitive data is also safe. It is working with law enforcement agencies for this matter. Along with this, the company said that the privacy of customers and partners is most important for them.
