The magic of Make in India

Apple has officially started assembling the entire lineup of the iPhone 16 series, launched on September 9 last month, in India. This is the first time Apple is producing its Pro models outside China. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, included in the top tier flagship segment, will also be exported to select countries after being assembled in India.
'Make In India' iPhone will be available soon
The iPhone 16 series phones made in India will be available in the country by the end of this month. Along with this, they will also be exported to select countries. Apple's purpose behind assembling iPhones in India is to strengthen its hold in other countries besides China. Apple is constantly diversifying its production series away from China. That is, the company is now looking for production options for itself in China as well as other countries.
Apart from this, the company has also recently talked about opening four new Apple stores in India. By next year, the number of Apple stores of the company will increase to 6 in India. Apple is planning to open 4 new stores in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi and Mumbai. Apple stores already exist in Delhi and Mumbai. These were opened in 2023.
