How to lock your Facebook profile?

If you want to lock your Facebook profile, you can do it from the mobile app or your browser.

Do you want more privacy for your Facebook account? If yes, you can keep your Facebook account more private by locking your profile. By locking your profile, people who are not in your Facebook friend list will only see a limited part of the profile. The photos and posts on the locked profile timeline, profile picture and cover photo, stories and new posts will only show to people who are in the friend list. Also, your 'public' posts will no longer be public and will only be visible to friends.

If you want to lock your Facebook profile, you can do it from the mobile app or your browser. It should be noted though that the desktop version of Facebook does not have the option to lock your profile, but there is a workaround for that. Lock Facebook profile via mobile app
Open the Facebook app and tap on your profile.
Tap on the three-dot menu icon next to Add to Story.
Here, you get a Lock Profile option, tap on it.
The next page will give you a brief information on how it works along with the Lock Your Profile option, tap on it.
You should see a pop-up that says You Locked Your Profile, tap OK here.
